The Hawkins Theatre - Papakura is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The theatre is closed on weekends and public holidays unless there is a performance and then it will be open 1 hour before the start.
Born in Manchester UK in 1968, was schooled in Lymm, Cheshire. Peter joined the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) in 1984 and served for 9 years on Ministry of Defence vessels around the world. Upon leaving the RFA he returned to full time education to undertake a BTEC Performing Arts National Diploma course at Halton College in Widnes, UK for 2 years. During this time Peter worked for the independent record label Escape Records as a Marketing Assistant, assisting with record releases and touring bands.
After graduating from Halton he travelled the world for a year and returned to the UK in 1997 to take a place on the BA (Hons) degree course in Music Industry Management at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. During this time he worked with the college record label INFX Records as Marketing Assistant. Part way through the degree course Peter was offered a placement year working in New Zealand for a music management company based in Hamilton. Upon returning to the UK he graduated from university and was offered the position of Marketing Manager for Clear Channel Entertainment at the 1200 capacity White Rock Theatre in Hastings, UK. Since then Peter Has worked at Sevenoaks Playhouse, Kent Showground and UPM Tilhill. Peter joined the Hawkins Theatre in December 2009.

Leilani Unasa is a playwright and producer for Bush Collective. She grew up in Mangere East and has three children who are equally angelic and demonic. Theatre is one of Leilani‚'s favourite mediums for telling stories and all things magical. Leilani's current writing projects reflect her desire to create contemporary myths with an urban twist.
Leilani loves jigsaw puzzles and humorous people.

Shane has spent all his life in and around theatre and has designed Sound and Lighting for many of the Theatrical and Dance productions in the Papakura area. Shane's extensive theatrical background comes from his recently semi-retired father Ken Richardson who was the first Sound Tech at the Hawkins Theatre. Some of the latest credits for Shane are: Sound of Music, Les Miserables, Fame the Musical, Peter Pan, Little Shop of Horrors, Oliver, Spamalot, Purapurawhetu and The Wedding Singer.

Faye has very recently moved to New Zealand from the UK. Faye has had a very varied employment history from working for the Police to owning her own horse livery business. Faye had many happy years working in the Box Office at a theatre in the UK which is where she met her husband.
